Kovy was tearing it up. Loktionov had one assist the entire tourney, perhaps that's why he was benched.
On a positive note, thanks for keeping us involved in the offseason. |

Loktionov was playing on his line and was +8 or something so even though he wasn't scoring, I don't understand why you mess with the lines in an elimination game.

I watched the game before going to work. Carter had a strong game. He had a nice pass to setup Thompson. He also scorced a shorthanded goal. The line of Carter-Thompson-Gionta looked good.
I liked Carter's play this season with the Devils also. |

AGREED! One of the best acquisitions of the DeBoer era - Devils Advocate
"The DeBoer era". I like the ring to that. Yea we missed the playoffs this year, but we all know why. We've done pretty well under this DeBoer era. We're starting it off with 4th overall Larsson, and 9th overall whoever.. hopefully a solid UFA pickup. Went to the finals and saw history made with the 1st ever boarding MAJOR in an elimination game,.. which sickens me after watching how this year's playoffs have been officiated
All in all, I like this DeBoer era. He's a much more likable coach than Sutter, Julien, and seeing Lou behind the bench was depressing... that it had come to that point. We won't talk about MacLean. This could be a promising era. |

I also think DeBoer is a great coach, all though I also really liked Sutter was disappointed when he decided to leave for that Flames team that was going down the crapper fast |

ditto
Sutter flaked, seemed like he made a half hearted decision to coach the Devils and it came back to bit him and the team!
DeBoer I like but noticed him lose his cool towards the end of this season which concerned me.
9th overall, one UFA scoring forward... let see. |

eh. do u have an example? i thought he remained positive and level throughout. There was that one game (rangers?) where he didn't agree with some of the officiating and probably shouldn't have voiced it.. but he was right. or maybe i'm imagining this. idk. |

To be honest, I think a little emotion is good for DeBoer. Too much of "We'll take the point" or "We played well enough for points". Those games really came back to bite us in the ass this year, and we left a lot of points on the table. Being a players coach makes you popular, but can lead to complacency. Even professionals need a kick in the ass time to time. |

Agreed they consistently came out flat night after night and only a few times did he call a timeout to try and wake em up. Also was too late in the year if you ask me. Was evident all too much that this team didn't turn the urgency meter up until about 5mins left in the game... |
